Who is welcome at your events?

These spaces center sapphic people and the wide spectrum of gender and sexual identities that emcompasses, however, anyone is welcome in the space. If you are entering the space as an ally, please be cognisant of how much space you are taking up. We appreciate you being a part of our goal of creating spaces that are as affirming, safe and joyful as possible.

How do you prioritize the safety of your guests at your events?

Security measures depend on the size of the event. For smaller events, our front door staff and event organizers operate as security. For larger events, we contract with a security company and staff the event based on the number of attendees. We also have community agreements that all attendees must verbally agree to before entering the space. If at any point in time someone is not following these community agreements, they will be asked to leave the space.

“We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment, unwanted touch, homophobic, biphobic, transphobic, racist, xenophobic, sexist, ableist or any other discriminatory behavior. Always ask before touching anyone at our events. If someone is making you uncomfortable or harassing you, please ask for a Sapphic Social Club team member or security. We will address the situation swiftly and discreetly. We operate from a transformative justice framework and believe that we keep us safe.”

How do the sliding scale tickets work?

We have a limited number of sliding scale tickets that are available to anyone in our community. However, we always ask that trans folks and people of the global majority are priorized in accessing these tickets. For every event, we have a promo code that will unlock tickets that are either free or 50% off. We publicize this promo code but if you ever need it, please just DM us on instagram. Once these are all spoken for, we are unable to release more of these discounted/free tickets.

What do you do with the ticket proceeds?

Since our inception in 2022, the event proceeds have primarily been put towards mutual aid for our event beneficiaries. After donations, the remaining proceeds are used to continue to fund future event costs such as venue rentals, decor, security, insurance, etc.

Can I get my ticket refunded?

We will honor refunds up to 48 hours before the event. If you have extenuating circumstances, please feel free to DM us on instagram.
